Damon Gersh

Port Washington resident Damon Gersh is a proven, award-winning business leader. As the CEO of NYC-based Maxons Restorations Inc., Damon led the successful deployment of over 1,600 workers to successfully manage the restoration of countless properties throughout lower Manhattan including the NYC landmarks St. Paul’s Chapel & Trinity Church which were damaged by the 9/11 disaster.
In his capacity of CEO of Maxons Restorations Inc. was featured in an international profile on CNN for his company’s work following 9/11 and was also awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Fast Company Magazine’s Fast 50 Award for Leadership and the Inc. 500 Award as one of America’s fastest growing companies.
In addition to his capacity as a business leader, Damon has also served two terms as the President of the New York City Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (“EO”) from 2002-2004. During his tenure, Damon was recognized for growing the New York Chapter to become the largest EO chapter in the world and developed a lasting organizational vision and infrastructure including chapter bylaws and board structure comprised of committees with clearly defined roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
Damon is the co-founder of the Gathering of Titans executive training program established in 2005. He has also served as conference chairman and executive committee member of this renowned executive leadership conference. The Gathering of Titans conference is held each year at M.I.T.’s Endicott House in Dedham, MA for a select group of business leaders from throughout the world. The conference is known in the entrepreneurial community for its’ intimate presentations by world-renowned speakers ranging from CEO’s of Fortune 500 Corporations to Political Figures and Spiritual Leaders.
Damon has also served as the President of the Board of Directors of Long Island Communities And Neighborhoods (“LI-CAN”) a multi-faith, multi-racial, non-partisan congregation- and institution-based community empowerment organization made up of over 15,000 member families from religious and non-religious institutions throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Damon is the lead singer and guitarist in the local Port Washington rock ‘n roll band, Rock Steady which performs live in NYC and Long Island including various Port Washington music venues, private parties, fundraisers and political rallies.
