Calling all Weber and Schreiber Students interested in Theater!
Following its inaugural program this past summer, HEARTS is proud to support ConnectTheatricals, returning with winter sessions beginning January 4, 2021! Recently returned from a year on tour as one of the leads in Broadway’s Fiddler on the Roof (directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher), ConnectTheatricals founder and Schreiber alum Jesse Weil is partnering with HEARTS to offer two months of classes in: -ACTING -PLAYWRITING -DIRECTING -MUSICAL THEATER -SHAKESPEARE Courses will provide middle and high school students in Port Washington with personalized instruction and an opportunity to prepare and perform theater works, which will be tailored to Zoom and explore life in quarantine. ConnectTheatricals is working to make these classes as accessible as possible for the Port Washington community. All courses (which are capped at six students to ensure individual attention) are $200 for eight weeks, but, if cost is a concern, please reach out through the website! Limited scholarships, made possible through the generous support by HEARTS, are available on an as-need basis, which will help ensure that interested students can participate, regardless of financial situation. Course offerings will be dependent on interest, and enrollment is limited. Classes will run from the first week of January to the last week of February, with scheduling based on students’ availability (collected during registration). >> Registration closes December 19, 2020 More details here: https://bit.ly/HEARTSConnectTheatricals HEARTS remembers Gina Farasciano and honors her with the creation of the Gina Farasciano Community Theater Grant.
