The Memory Project

The Art Honor Society will create portraits of children and teens around the world who have been orphaned, neglected or disadvantaged, to provide them with special memories that capture their childhood.


Schreiber Theatre Company’s Musical Production

Students will engage in a professional-level musical theatre production for the Port Washington community to enjoy. HEARTS provides support to bring this production to life.

Voices of Freedom

In collaboration with the Louis Armstrong Museum and The Ed. Foundation
, Schreiber and Weber students interacted virtually with world-renowned artists in five disciplines: music, dance, writing, jazz, and visual arts. They created artistic works that reflect historical fights for freedom in the U.S.

In an after-school club, students will learn the technical side of music and theatre by learning how to operate sound and lighting boards, how to create music with digital tools, and how to record/edit audio and video. This will all take place in Weber's newly renovated auditorium.

Port Washington Summer Music Scholarship Program

Funds will be used to provide scholarships for students to attend the district’s summer music program which will allow them to continue musical instrument studies, or in some cases, learn an instrument for the very first time.

This program incorporates performance arts with the classroom curriculum as students experience books in a kinesthetic, artistic, imaginative, social and tactile atmosphere. Students are guided to act out a piece of literature bringing the book to life.

Run by Port Washington/Schreiber alumni and Broadway performer Jesse Weil, select students received virtual instruction via a series of workshops on acting and playwriting.

Music Program for Stepping Stone Classes

An engaging music program for Pre-K children who may not otherwise have access to extracurricular activities.

Senior Sing A Long
Elana Hayden and Elise May
A series of virtual, interactive performances aimed at seniors and open to everyone, featuring sing-a-long experiences, from the Great American Songbook and Braodway to The Beatles and jazz standards. Generous support provided by The Peter and Jeri Dejana Foundation.

Bach 2 Rock
The Last Five Years at the Sousa Bandshell

Support for a free, outdoor theatrical performance of Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last Five Years, presented at the Sousa Bandshell.

Port Summer Show 2021 Summer Production
Rachel Muratore
Support will be used to benefit the Port Summer Show’s annual musical production. Port Washington teen residents, 7th grade through 12th grade, experience a summer program working with a professional director, choreographer and costume designers. The entire community benefits from this theater experience.


​The Community Synagogue Theater Company

Support will be used to benefit Community Synagogue Theater Company’s musical production. All Port Washington residents, both children and adults, are encouraged to audition and be a part of the production.
